Wow! I can't believe that my little baby is 14 months old! Amaya is actually running now! She is now really starting to exert her independence. It is amazing seeing her try to put on her own shoes, diapers and clothes. She will only eat if she feeds herself. She wants to brush her own hair and teeth. Her newly found independence=temper tantrums. We went to the grocery last week and she HAD to walk around by herself. She didn't want to go where I was going. There were too many people for her to walk around and talk to. Every time I tried to direct her to a different area of the store she threw a fit. I even tried picking her up a few times. When she gets mad she kicks her feet or pushes her head along the ground. I'm sure everyone in the entire store heard her! Note to self: Never leave my baby carrier at home when I go anywhere!
BUT, her separation anxiety is worse than it has ever been. On one hand she wants to Miss Independent. On the other hand she wants to be attached to her mom at all times. I can't leave the room for one second without her crying. I can't remember the last time I actually went to the bathroom alone. It is not really that bad though. I kind of enjoy it! I can see in the future when she is a teenager and wants nothing to do with me.
I just love seeing how much my little baby has changed!

Isn't it crazy?? Last night I asked mine to bring me a book so we could read. And she did it!
She wandered around the living room, picked up a book, then walked over to me, handed it to me, and sat in my lap.
I couldn't help but think about this time a year ago, and how much has changed!
Any recent pics for the blog?
a whole new level of "firsts" are about to begin. Enjoy every minute of them, because they become mere memories so quickly.
